Unfortunately the cataloguing of society serials often leaves something
to be desired.
Generally there is a uniform name for the society, with some amount of
information on the various names of the society;
but often there is no clear
indication of when the various names were in effect.
Moreover, the serial titles are generally of the form Mémoires, rather than Mémoires de l'Académie Royale de ..... Consequently if the full name of the serial title is required, one needs to consult library catalogues that usually provide rich cataloguing detail. Examples include Harvard Univ. cat and Univ. Chicago cat..
