Aymonin on the French Linnéens
Aymonin, Gérard G..
"Adansonia", Fêtes Champêtres et Linnéens Français. Taxon (February 1974) 23 (1):155-162. [In French.]
This article gives a brief overview of various French Linnean societies, particularly the two based in Paris:
  1. Société Linnéenne de Paris (which had been founded in 1788, gone dormant around 1790, revived from 1820 to about 1833), and
  2. Société Linnéenne de Paris (founded in 1866, ceased early in the 20th century); evidently not considered a resurrection of the former, in spite of having identical names.
