International Union of Radio Science (IURS) = Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale (URSI) [The International Union of Radio Science (URSI) is a Foundation Union (1919) of the International Council of Scientific Unions as the direct and immediate successor of the Commission Internationale de Télégraphie sans Fil which dates from 1913.]

Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) [The predecessors of ACCA were "the National Warm Air Heating and Air Conditioning Association (NWAHACA) --established in 1914 to represent manufacturers, wholesalers and contractors--and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors of America (ARCA)--established in 1946 to represent contractors exclusively. In 1968, NWAHACA dissolved to merge with ARCA. Manufacturer members became part of what is now known as the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute (ARI)."]

[The Council of American Building Officials (CABO) was founded in 1972 as an umbrella organization for the Building Officials and Code Administrators International (BOCA) (founded 1915), the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) (founded 1922), and the Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI) (founded 1940). In 1994 the latter three associations created the International Code Council (ICC) to develop a single set of comprehensive, coordinated model construction codes that could be used throughout the United States and around the world. In 1997 the CABO was incorporated into the ICC. In 2002 the BOCA, the ICBO, and the SBCCI dissolved into the ICC.]
